A historic day.

Despite all of the very valid criticsms lodged at the Bush administration for their abysmal planning for and execution of this war, anytime formerly oppressed people taste freedom by expressing their will through the democratic process, it's cause for celebration. There's a very tough road ahead, I'm sure the Bushies will continue to mischarachterize our progress, and the fact remains that the American people were misled by their trusted leaders, but as the Iraqis go to the polls today they deserve our support and solidarity. The troops that made it possible deserve our admiration. Let's pray it's a peaceful and ultimately transforming day.
