We need more than a domestic PR campaign.

Guess what we've got? A Plan for Victory!
Patriotic new slogan? Check.
Nifty new logo? Check.
Beautiful new banners? Check.
Cathcy color scheme? Check.
Photogenic audience? Check.
All great stuff. Missing? Mention of reality, or an undertanding of the real challenges our forces face in Iraq every day. Optimism's great, but slick speeches and willful ignorance just won't cut it anymore.
That said, the Bush administration's got a very bright future on Madison Avenue post 2008 if they want it.

My understanding of the challenges our forces face is this:
-Despite the need for them, an increasing resentment among Iraqis at the level of troops on the ground.
-A still very effective insurgency that continues to kill lots of civilians and too many Americans.
-Deep seeded internal conflicts, epseically between the Shias and Sunnis that threaten to undermine any political progress that's been made.
-Not enough sufficiently trained Iraqi forces to help maintain security.
There's many more concerns, and you're right, I'm not on the ground there so I cannot begin to fully understand what our troops encounter everyday. Are you trying to tell me these challenges don't exist? Or, that I'm just not qulaified to be concerned about them?
