So, maybe Howard Dean wasn't the best choice
for DNC chair. He can't raise money like Terry McCauliffe, and everytime he says something remotely controversial, Matt Drudge makes sure we all hear about it (out of context, of course). His latest comment that the Republicans are a party of white Christians is true, but what's the point of saying it? Couldn't he of just pointed to the strengnth of the Democrats--their diversity--without offering fodder for Limbaugh, Hannity & crew? Not all white Christains are Republicans, but most Republicans are white Christians. We already knew that.
But, really, the most troubling part of Dean's chairmanship has been in the fundraising department. Turns out most of those on-line contributors tune politics out in the off-season. That's when the big donors--many of whom opposed Dean as both a candidate for the Presidency and the Chairmanship--show up to play.
