I didn't see the President's speech.

I saw Batman Begins instead. Terriffic movie, I thought. Not sure how faithful it was to the comic books, but it was neato to see how Batman gained his fighting prowess and mental toughness. It also delved more deeply than any previous Batman film--even Burton's--into the damaged psyche of Bruce Wayne. Some half-way interesting social commentary in there as well. Thumbs up.
