Quick thoughts on last night's
24: Miles, Miles, Miles. His amoral careerism and blind loyalty to authority is probably emblematic of what's so effed up with the real life U.S. intelligence community. Sure it's only a TV show, but it sure is heartening to see brave people risk so much for the truth. I wonder if there's really any morally brave and uncynical people running around in government today. I think there's at least one:

And fucking Logan. For a second I thought he came to some sort of epiphany and would try to do some semblance of the right thing by writing a full confession implicating everyone involved in the conspiracy before killing himself. But, he once again proved how much of a jackass he really is. The big question remains--why did this group of uber-powerful and self proclaimed patriots feel compelled to go to these lengths in order to convince the American people that their future policies were justified?
